Buddy and Grandmaster Han
Buddy lost a tooth last night (not his first), and he put it under his pillow thinking the tooth fairy would pay him a visit. Unfortunately the tooth fairy wasn’t feeling well last night and totally forgot about it. He woke up this morning and came in to talk to me with a really sad face asking my why the tooth fairy didn’t leave him anything.
Before I could get out an answer he said “Maybe I was sleeping too hard on my pillow and she couldn’t get it out. Tonight I’ll sleep on the other pillow so she can reach it.”
All I could do was smile and say maybe. I think the tooth fairy’s payment just went up.
This year for Christmas we broke our family tradition of being home on Christmas morning. Instead we went to visit my parents and then let Buddy spend the following week with them. When we told him what our plans were, Buddy was really worried about whether Santa would find him or not.
So the morning of Christmas Eve, before we left, Buddy left a note for Santa under the Christmas tree.
“Dear Santa, Mom, Dad and I will be at Grandma and Grandpa’s house for Christmas.”
Even after several reassurances that Santa would indeed find us, Buddy still wasn’t convinced.
